Schindler Israel’s global operations enable it to combine its local experience and knowledge in production, assembly, support, and service delivery with its worldwide ability to provide the most complex elevators and escalators adapted to any architectural requirement.

Schindler Israel provides a solution through its vast and diverse product range and developing “tailor-made” elevators according to customer requirements.

Schindler Israel has been awarded the “Mark 1310” by the Standards Institute for Passenger Elevators and a certificate that the company’s quality management system complies with the requirements of the Israeli Standard and the International Standard ISO 2000:9002.

Technology

Schindler Israel, a division of Global Schindler, is a technological leader in Israel’s elevator sector and has introduced innovative elevator technologies to the Israeli market.

  • The “Target Command” system is endowed with the qualities that will deliver passengers to their destination faster than any other elevator with a conventional system. The command begins by asking the elevator passenger to flag the required destination floor using an innovative touch screen known as “Port Technology”. The command identifies all passengers who have a common destination before entering, thus preventing gatherings, and overcrowding on the main floor and optimizing the operation of the elevators by reducing the number of intermediate stops on the way to the requested floor.
  • The Schindler A Head system is changing the maintenance concept of the elevator world thanks to the use of advanced technologies. The system enables, through advanced technologies, regular and real-time monitoring of information on temperature, energy consumption, door spacing, and data on the condition of the elevators and more. The data is routed at any given moment to Schindler’s control center, which is open 24/7. An algorithm analyzes the information and allows for early diagnosis and a pre-tailored solution to potential elevator malfunctioning, all fully transparent with the client. Schindler’s maintenance business concept relies on its preference for preventive care over troubleshooting and transparency with its clients, which it implements through this technology.

Training Center

Schindler Israel highly values its human resources and believes professionalism is crucial to its success and employee advancement. The company has built the only training center of its kind in Israel that combines an experiential environment alongside–actual elevators, machines, and escalators for a practical and in-depth experience and digital learning alongside the traditional learning method. By doing so, Schindler began a breakthrough learning environment that provides a more attractive, engaging, interactive, and diverse learning experience. The training center blends diverse technologies, enriches the learning experience, and expedites knowledge transfer.

The company invests significant resources in the certification of new employees who have never been trained in elevators and, at the same time, carries out a stable and orderly process to maintain the knowledge among the technicians and components.

Products and Innovation

Recently, Schindler launched its new generation of elevators – 1000, 3000, 5000. Gearless moving systems characterize these elevators. Controllers are noted for returning energy to the grid as Standard, and all product lines have an identical control panel that allows the technical team to jump between the product lines without specific specialization.

This new technology allows for a smooth ride in elevators and maximum comfort. The elevators are “Green” and hold the “A” energy rating.

The prestigious 5000 series will offer extensive options and variable loads at speeds up to 4.0 meters per second (“m/s”) as standard and for a lifting height of 210 meters and approximately 70 floors. The elevators are noted for their high finish level, a finishing that characterizes the entire Schindler product series. Global Schindler is considered a trailblazer in technological innovation. Among other innovative, intelligent solutions, the proposed command is based on PORT technology, which allows for use with the help of a mobile phone app without the need to touch or click on the monitor.

For high-rises, Schindler continues to supply the high-quality 7000 series of elevators – version 4, suitable for high-speed elevators between 2.5 m/s and ten m/s with a single cabin or a double cabin as standard, and with uncompromising ride quality offered by PORT technology and the leading level of finish in the elevator market.

Sustainability and Green Construction

Schindler prides itself on sustainability and green construction and offers various digital services. Using green raw materials and energy-efficient equipment, the company enables a significant change trend for its construction industry clients. Schindler has adopted the ISO Quality Management (9001) and Environment Protection (14001) standards to provide products and services that meet client requirements and expectations and applicable laws and standards while protecting the environment and striving for constant improvement.

In addition, Schindler recently joined Maala’s Environmental, Social, and Governance Rating (ESG) for corporate responsibility.

Global Standard ISO 8100-32 is Underway – International Recognition of Schindler’s Recommendations

The Global Standard recognized the recommendations of Global Schindler, adopted the method used by Schindler to design and select elevators in buildings, and adopted the criteria used by the company over time. Schindler Israel will help in the understanding of and implementation of said Standard–(ISO 8100-32 | 06-2020 | EN Elevators for Transporting People and Goods – Part 32: Planning and Selecting Passenger Elevators to be Installed in Office Buildings, Hotels and Residences).

Gold Standard for Schindler

Schindler also holds the ISO 45001 Standard, a standard for organizational safety management, thereby becoming the only elevator company in Israel with this strict safety standard and the first to have the three most stringent quality standards – quality, safety, and environmental quality.

The company has also developed hygienic products for purifying the air and reducing contact in the public space.

Large Projects

A significant part of the company’s orders originates from large projects. In recent years, Schindler Israel has been a partner in some of the most critical construction projects in Israel, such as:

The Beyond project is the first project in Israel to rise more than 300 meters. It’s the first complex that operates like a city in one location.

Azrieli Towers, Rubinstein Twin Towers, Landa Ness Ziona Campus, 10 Rothschild Tower in Tel Aviv, Lot 21 in Modi’in, and Vitania TLV.

Schindler is also involved in installation work at Big Fashion Gillot, Amdocs, Intel Mobileye in Jerusalem, the Discount Campus, GATI Jerusalem, Kiryat Ono College, Nahal Sorek Electric Company offices, and more, along with residential neighborhoods with multiple elevators, such as Touch Be’er Sheva, and Shviro Gedera.

The company has also developed hygienic products for purifying the air and reducing contact in the public space.
