Our extensive portfolio includes hundreds of projects – we’ve highlighted a few from recent years:
Light Rail projects at the Gateway to Jerusalem: This comprehensive array of projects encompassed underground tunneling, bridging work, shaft construction, the establishment of a bus parking lot, and the delicate demolition of a building with preservation in mind. Additionally, development work included paving of a unique architectural street. All these projects were undertaken in densely populated urban areas, while minimizing disruptions to residents.
Sports Complex Adjacent to Teddy Stadium and the Arena, Jerusalem: Shoham constructed a 240-meter light rail tunnel, complemented by a 30,000 square meter (30 dunam) urban park featuring play facilities and a network of walking and bicycle paths. We also completed a multi-functional building within the complex, featuring architectural concrete, iron construction, shutters, and glass cladding, providing indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
Western Wall Plaza Projects: These highly intricate projects demanded utmost care and attention to archaeological preservation, safety, and visitor comfort. Notably, we constructed the ‘Western Wall Heritage Fund’ building, incorporating a massive iron construction base to facilitate visitor tours below. Additionally, we undertook various projects within the Western Wall Plaza and tunnels, ranging from building a synagogue to shading, support, and roofing.
Urban Road Surfacing and Development Projects: Shoham has completed numerous urban development projects in Public Open Areas in Jerusalem, including the Valley of the Cross (“Emek Ha’Matzalaba”), Sacher Park, Rupin Road, the Rose Garden Park, and the Pisgat Ze’ev and Har Homa neighborhoods, enhancing public spaces in a dense and challenging urban landscape, including the complex entrance to Jerusalem.
Entrances to the 1000 Complex, Rishon LeZion: A large infrastructure, development and bridging project: construction of three bridges over the Ayalon Highway, including a striking 350-meter pedestrian bridge with a maximum span of 70 meters, comprised of steel and concrete components, equipped with escalators and an elevator. Shoham expanded the Rabin Bridge over the Ayalon highway, built a drop-off bridge connecting to Ayalon South, an exit ramp to the 1000 Complex, a loop ramp, and an expanded service road. This ambitious project was executed amidst active urban surroundings, over intercity roads, and Railways, required an expedited deadline together with particular attention to precision and safety.
