The Shufersal Group is Israel's most prominent retail chain. The Group has 411 branches, covering an area of 553 thousand square meters, of which 311 branches are Shufersal branches and 90 branches are Be branches, as well as online delivery centers with an area of thousands of square meters, with 16,600 employees. Moreover, Shufersal operates its "Shufersal Online", an advanced purchasing site and app. The Group operates in 3 main sectors: retail, real estate, and pharma through the Be network.

Shufersal – Current Financial Data
Company revenue in 2022 totaled NIS 14.6 billion. Shufersal shares are traded on the Tel Aviv 90 index and the Tel-Div index, of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

The Company Operates Two Branch Groups Nationwide:
Discount Branches Group:
Shufersal Deal – a nationwide chain of stores, characterized by discount prices, and a wide variety of products.
Shufersal Online – the most extensive online sales site in Israel for selling food products with a convenient and available shopping experience at discount prices. In 2022, sales through Shufersal Online totaled NIS 2.6 billion, which accounted for 19.4% of all sales at Shufersal branches and delivery centers. The company recently established two automatic collection and delivery centers designed to help meet the high demand.
The “Yesh” Format – is designed to respond to relatively large consumer baskets, strict kashrut services, and an easy shopping experience while adapting the range of products to different populations. The chain includes the following formats: “Yesh Chesed,” – which addresses the ultra-orthodox sector, and “Yesh Be’Schuna,” – which is based on an easy and convenient buying experience at lower prices.

The Neighborhood Branches Group:
My Shufersal – neighborhood supermarkets that are located in city centers. The format provides convenience, service, proximity, availability, and freshness. In the “My Shufersal” stores, emphasis is placed on personal treatment and a thorough acquaintance with the local customer’s needs.
Shufersal Express – an urban chain adapted to today’s consumption and convenience habits. The stores are mainly operated by franchisees.
Green – as part of the Israeli health revolution, Shufersal seeks to meet the demand for healthy, fresh, and organic food. Today, there are 96 Green complexes operating within Shufersal branches.

The “Shufersal” Private Label
The Shufersal chain offers its customers 6,000 products under its private label, which are noted as quality products at attractive prices. These products are carefully selected by experts and undergo strict quality controls. The purpose of the private label is to offer the chain’s customers a discounted alternative of good quality products, like the quality of the branded products in the category. Under the Shufersal brand, a consumer can find products under all categories, including grocery, meat products, frozen and chilled products, vegetables and fruits and beverages, as well as in the pharmaceutical sector, products for babies and home care, as well as household products. The sales rate of private label products in 2022 accounted for 27.2% of all sales in the retail sector.

The Customer Club
Shufersal cares about nurturing its customer club and giving its members real benefits based on familiarity with specific and personal consumption habits. Club members enjoy accumulating points on every purchase, personalized promotions, individual mailings with discount coupons, targeted promotions, and special events held at the branches. As of the end of 2022, the club had more than 2 million households. Club customers also receive benefits at the BeE network.

The New Customer Club
In October 2021, Shufersal launched a new program for club members in collaboration with the Paybox digital wallet – “Shufersal SUPREME.” The program is adapted to current consumer trends and incorporates the accumulation of digital currencies, and allows customers to turn their purchases into benefits. For every purchase at Shufersal, customers accumulate digital currencies, which can be converted for shopping at the Shufersal network, the Be network, and over 150 other chains, companies, and restaurants using the Paybox application. In the new program, Club customers can purchase products using digital currencies and receive consumer benefits.

Real Estate
Shufersal Real Estate was established to develop and improve various real estate properties, thereby adding value to the company and its shareholders and enabling a managerial focus on the real estate field as a separate field. Shufersal Real Estate operates income-generating properties in which the chain’s branches are located in the center, and around them are commercial areas intended for leasing, as well as other income-generating properties.

Be
The Be pharmacy chain provides an innovative, digital, and refreshing shopping experience for customers in the worlds of pharmacy, beauty, and toiletries at a network of 90 full branches, 10 complexes in the format of a store within a store at Shufersal Deal branches, as well as 17 pharmacies branded and managed by Be in Shufersal branches. In the next few years, the chain expects to reach approximately 130 branches, with 25 local units in the Shufersal branches. In 2022, the range of Be products sold online was significantly expanded.

Shufersal Business
A business unit that coordinates Shufersal’s activities with the business sector, public bodies, and non-profit associations. In 2023, Shufersal launched its third store under the new Cash&Carry format targeting the business sector and the institutional market in wholesale sales.
As part of Shufersal Business’ expansion, the “Shufersal Amiga” subsidiary was established, which serves as a platform for the sale, marketing, and distribution of food products to the institutional market. This year Shufersal acquired the activities of “Hamafitz Yossi Israeli Ltd.” to serve as the northern branch of Shufersal Amiga.

Dan Deal
During the year, Shufersal expanded its activities into the “stock” sector and acquired the “Dan Deal” group, which operates stock branches in Israel, an online trade website, and specializes in importing, marketing, and distributing home and office products.
The company began to expand its operations by locating places to open more similar stores and creating business synergy between the stock company and the retail arm.

Gidron
Gidron is a Shufersal subsidiary that produces and supplies baked goods both to Shufersal and to various customers in the market.
