Hanson Israel is a subsidiary of the Heidelberg Cement Group, a global producer of cement, aggregates, asphalt, concrete products, and ready-mixed concrete. With management of the parent company headquartered in Heidelberg, Germany, the Heidelberg Cement Group employs 58,000 people in 3,000 locations in 60 countries. The Group's securities are listed for trading on Germany's Stock Exchange and are included in the DAX index of Germany's 30 largest companies. Sales turnover in 2018 totaled 18 billion.

Hanson was initially established in 1963, and today operates 26 concrete plants, three quarries, two asphalt facilities and a fleet of trucks for delivering concrete and aggregates, as well as hundreds of trucks for sub-contracting work. Hanson considers the safety of its employees and environment protection as highly relevant and as an integral part of its operations.
Hanson is one of the country’s largest building products groups, with 2018 sales turnover of NIS 1.2 billion, and 600 employees, providing about 20% of Israel’s demand for aggregate and concrete products. Hanson has grown along with the country. Its longevity attests to its innovative capabilities and its uncompromising commitment to quality and service.

Local Operations
Hanson maintains 26 technologically advanced concrete, finish and infrastructure production plants, with an annual capacity of 3.5 million cubic meters; 3 quarries with an annual yield potential exceeding 9 million tons of aggregates; 2 asphalt plants capable of supplying one million tons of various types of asphalt annually; supplying the products to construction sites all over the country with a fleet of the company’s trucks and sub-contractors.
Following on Hanson’s successful bid for dock 30 at Ashdod Port, in 2019, it will begin to import cement to Israel

Hanson’s Products
Aggregates – A range of stone, gravel, and sand used in construction, infrastructures, etc. Aggregates are quarried from limestone and dolomite sites.
Ready-mixed concrete, infrastructure, and mortar products – Concrete produced, loaded on mixers at the plant and transported to building sites, mortar mixtures, mixtures for infrastructure, flooring, and finishing.
Cement – an essential component for the building and infrastructure sectors.
Asphalt – A mixture of aggregates, sand, and bitumen, used to pave roads, freeways, parking lots and walkways.
Transport – Hanson’s fleet serves both its customers as well as third-party customers.

Customer Service
Hanson continues to improve its customer service set-up under the motto “Hanson – Your First Choice.” Hanson’s vision for service excellence is to become the customer’s first choice by meeting all customer needs. All Hanson staff attend training sessions designed to instill and implement the values of reliability, responsibility, respect, human dignity, teamwork, professionalism, learning and a striving for excellence. The Company operates an innovative customer cellular app for ordering concrete, monitoring the supply using mapping and GPS, and issues a digital confirmation of the concrete supply. The cellular app significantly improves the relationship between the company and customers, as well as the efficiency and transparency of the process.
For many years, the Company has been operating a central ordering and delivery service for concrete in the center of the country.
The goal is to improve customer service in the competitive Tel Aviv area. From one nerve center orders are taken, mixers are dispatched from various concrete plants to the various work sites. Operations depend on the use of GPS controls. The system recommends the concrete plant for producing and supplying the particular order, and the most efficient dispatch route, allowing Hanson to provide the most efficient, cost-effective and timely service to customers.

Technology and Quality
Hanson is uncompromisingly committed to high product quality, customer satisfaction and to maintain its reputation. It was among the first companies in its sector to adopt the Israel Standards Institution’s approval system for concrete and asphalt production and quarries. The Institution confirms that Hanson Israel complies with ISO 9002 quality assurance requirements.

Environmental and Safety Quality
Hanson is dedicated to maintaining the highest possible safety and environmental standards and invests in ensuring these objectives are achieved. The Company rigorously adheres to environmental and safety regulations and is attentive to the needs of communities located near its plants and building sites.
Hanson believes that it must do its utmost to ensure that its employees will not be injured and fall ill during their workday. Hanson has trained many of its employees to be safety wardens and first aid experts to minimize risks at the various plants and to allow for treatment if an employee is injured.
