The Rami Levy Shivuk Hashikma group are the rights holders and operators of 21 supermarkets: in Jerusalem – Haoman, Rav Chen, Achim Israel, Givat Shaul and Ramot; in other areas – Ayalon, Nesher, Zichron Yaacov, Tiberias, Modiin Shilat, Maale Adumim, Mevasseret, Benyamin Industrial Zone, Castina, Betar Elite, Givat shaul meadrin, Pardes-Hanna, Kiryat Chaim, Afula, Lev haarez-rosh haain and Gush ezion . Additional stores are in various stages of establishment in Beit Shemesh, Atarot, Modiin Industrial Zone South, Netanya Industrial Zone, Kfar Sava and Ashdod.

The retail food branch in Israel is highly competitive and the group competes with the large food marketing chains such as: Supersol, Blue-Square Israel Ltd., Co-op Israel as well as with neighborhood food stores, outdoor markets and specialized shops. Company History
Rami Levy Shivuk Hashikma 2006 Ltd. was launched as a private company in Israel on 1st January 2006. In May 2007 the company made initial public offering. Shares, bonds and warrant options were offered to the public. The company is traded on the Tel Aviv stock exchange (TASE) in accordance with the Companies Act. Since July 2009, company shares are included in Tel Aviv 100 Index of the TASE.
 
The company is a subsidiary of Rami Levy Shivuk Hashikma Ltd. – a private company founded in 1985 and owned by Adina and Rami Levy. The Levy family has been working in the field of retail marketing, offering wholesale prices to the public, since 1976.
 
Since 1985 the company has been marketing products exclusively to shops, stores and supermarkets. In 1992 the company opened a large discount supermarket in Jerusalem offering the consumer food products, clothing and toiletries at inexpensive prices.

Economic Data
Revenues: Increased by 27% from NIS 1.348 million in 2009 to NIS 1,707 million in 2010. (NIS 945 million in 2008).
Gross Profit: Increased by 27% from NIS 310 million in 2009 to NIS 393 million in 2010 (NIS 219 million in 2008).
Operating Profit: Increased by 19% from NIS 99.6 million in 2009 to NIS 115 million in 2009 (NIS 70 million in 2008).
Net Profit: Increased by 20% from NIS 73.5 million in 2008 to NIS 88.2 million in 2009.
Company statements last year reported that the growth increase is continuing. Growth during the period 2008-2010 was due to the opening of new branches together with a 9.82% rise in same store sales in the first half of the period and a 6.82% rise during the second half. The number of customers and the sales figures for the group have increased over the past years due to its growing reputation and increased customer awareness from publicity.

Commitment to the Community
The Shivuk Hashikma chain maintains a tradition of many years by contributing NIS 1.5 million to the needy each year. During the Rosh Hashanah and Pesach holidays, the chain gives over 5,000 families coupons for purchases in its branches. Furthermore, the chain is involved in many charitable activities assisting the community in various ways. The owners, Rami and Adina Levy, feel very privileged in being able to help others in this way.
