The Ted Arison Family Foundation – Listening to the Needs of the Community The Foundation, established in 1981 in Miami by the late Ted Arison, launched its activities in Israel in 1993, headed by Shari Arison. Today Jason Arison serves as the Foundation's Chairman and manages the Arison Group philanthropic arm. The Foundation is a private family foundation. Each year the Foundation contributes to various projects and hundreds of nonprofits and organizations, in several key spheres: health, education, children and youth, culture, art and sports, populations in distress and disabilities. Encouragement of the spirit of volunteerism in Israel takes form in offering readily available and accessible information on volunteerism, while also matching and connecting between people who want to volunteer, according to their skill and ability, with those who seek assistance. Good Deeds Day –Ruach Tova's annual flagship project is Good Deeds Day, initiated by Shari Arison more than six years ago with the aim of enabling every person to do a good deed for another, according to their skill and ability. This year, on the 6th Good Deeds Day, more than 250,000 people in Israel and hundreds of thousands more worldwide, came out to do a good deed for others. This year Good Deeds Day turned international, and was held in 50 countries, such as the U.S., Britain, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Finland, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal, Argentina and more. Cooperating with MTV, millions of viewers were encouraged to do a good deed, be it large or small. In Israel, 163 local authorities took part in this unique day, out of which 62 are Arab sector authorities. Hundreds of educational institutions and businesses and thousands of IDF soldiers participated in Good Deeds Day, where Arison Group's Ruach Tova offered some 3,600 projects. All One –An organization founded by Shari Arison, aimed at generating a global conversation of a new reality, enunciating the message that we are all part of one and we are all responsible for one another.
